MAXIMIZE RESPONSE AND SENSITIVITY - select the tracking speed that’s right for your ground conditions. SLOW/ MEDIUM/ FAST Tracking speeds allow you to customize your Minelab GP3500 metal detector for optimal performance-EVERY TIME!
MORE DEPTH - Spend MORE time detecting with the Minelab GP3500 in “Fixed” mode, giving you greater depth-- with immediate access to Ground Balance at your fingertip! Remaining in the fixed mode cuts down on battery usage as the detector is not continually sampling the soil conditions. When the soil changes, the mineralization will begin to cause interference. Simply push down on the thumb button and the detector will re-ground balance in 2-4 seconds. You do not need to pause your hunting swing. Or forward motion.
When hunting in the tracking mode, because soil mineralization is forever changing, you need only push the thumb button to bring your GP3500 to the fixed mode for pinpointing. This is essential, as remaining in tracking while pin pointing can eventually ground balance out your target.

* Multi-function Quick-Trak Remote – The Quick-Trak push button allows the GP 3500 to quickly and easily re-ground balance when operating in Fixed mode. This allows the operator instant access to tracking mode needed to ground balance. This is convenient, fast, and allows detecting in Fixed mode more often, which means more depth and battery life.!
* Manual Tune Control – The manual tuner on the Minelab GP 3500 serves two functions: (1) To gain the most stable, quietest, interference free detecting, possible eliminating outside interference. Such as micro wave towers airport proximity etc.The tuner can be used to fine tune after using the auto push button. It can also be used to make small changes as you move around. (2) If operating in a quiet environment, the manual tuner can be used to select a specific frequency band in which to operate. It is well known that lower frequencies can give a better response to deep targets, while high frequencies can improve sensitivity to small nuggets.
* 3-Speed Tracking – In highly variable soils, the use of Fixed mode may be impractical, making Tracking mode the preferred method. Now the operator has the choice of THREE tracking speeds to choose from – Slow, Medium and Fast. This allows you to choose the best Tracking Speed for the ground variability. The Tracking sensitivity level, on the Minelab GP 3500 previously controlled by the Level Adjust knob has now been pre-programmed to the optimum level for the Tracking speed selected. This gives you the best operating function to gain improved performance.
* Re-positioned Controls - the control panel layout has been re-designed to allow for a simpler, logical set-up procedure.. As only three or four selection switches are used regularly, the others can be preset to your hunting style and sound preference.s. 
* Easy Adjust Bow Knuckle – Whenever the operator changes their detecting location or changes their coil, it may be necessary to adjust the position of the Bow Knuckle to a new balance point. The new Bow Knuckle allows for easy location changes without tools.
